Mike is a New England guy through and through. He was born in Framingham Mass, grew up in Hudson and Londonderry New Hampshire, lived just over the border in Maine for twenty years and he’s been back living in the woods of New Hampshire for the last twelve years.

Mike started writing and drawing in his teens and he’s been hanging around the poetry scene of Portsmouth and the Seacoast for over twenty years. He’s been participating in Beat Night, created by Larry Simon, for 19 of its 24 years and hosting and organizing it for the last 10. He was 11th Poet Laureate of Portsmouth from April 2017 to April 2019. Mike is passionate about poetry and art and their power to help us figure out ourselves and the world we live in.
